One month in

Well, one month ago today we started this process. Troy and I went to Harrah's AIM's office in the Woodlands and recieved information regarding China Adoption, turned in our application and made our first installment of payments. We recieved lots and lots of paperwork. Instructions to read through everything and were told our Dossier Consultant and Social Worker would be in touch.

My thoughts on 2/22/06:
The 'paperchase' is on. We have started the process of adopting our Baby Girl from The People's Republic of China. We have decided to use Harrah's AIM as our agency. We drove to the Woodlands and turned in our application and paid fees for our homestudy and dossier consultant. We have so much to learn. Tonight I went through the folders of information and I am scared, ok maybe overwhelmed, but I know we will get through this 'paper chase' with the help of Harrah's.

I am so excited! We are going to get OUR Little GIRL!! We have started to talk to the boys about the adoption. Z and I were driving to the grocery store and I asked him what he thought about adopting a little girl from China. He looked at me so perplexed, then asked if she would speak Spanish, I said no, maybe some Chinese, but not Spanish. I also told him as her big brother he would have to help teach her English. C is so sweet, he said she could sleep with him, I told him that babies get up at night and cry. He said that was ok that he would sing her back to sleep. My heart melted. I asked him what he would sing, and he started singing 'Rock A Bye Baby.' What great big brothers they will be!!

Well Baby Girl, everyday will bring us closer to you! Don't worry we are coming to get you!!
