One Week Ago
One week ago tonight we received a call from our agency stating that we had been matched with Fu Bao Ying. What a great feeling that was! As it has sunk in over this last week it feels even better! My emotions are all over the place. Elated and euphoric, afraid and so nervous all at the same time. Right now I just can't imagine the emotions I will have when we are only one hour from getting our girl. We have written our letter of intent, which will be sent to China once it is translated. Then we will wait for TA (adoption lingo for travel approval). Once we have TA our agency will request a CA (Consulate Appointment), and then we will know when we will be going to go get that precious little one. We hope to travel December - January and we will be in China for about 2 weeks. We have started to prepare for Ying Ying. We went crib shopping, but cannot decide between three cribs. We started buying a few clothes. We are guessing on her size as we my not get an update on Ying Ying before we go, so we are getting warm clothes size 12 months to 18 months.
We are still deciding on her name.
I didn't know it would be this hard. I thought it would be easier than naming the boys, but with them we didn't see their faces first. Now we are trying to give her a name that goes with her beautiful face. We have a few we are working with, but all four of us are not in agreement. For example, C wants to name her Sparkle. That just doesn't work for us. Eventually we will all agree on a name when it is the right one for our little girl.

We think we have found some pictures of Fu Bao Ying on Fuling Kids International website (link in right column) from the end of June. She looks like she is doing well and growing, but she also looks like she needs her very own family to love her. We are coming as soon as they say go baby girl, so hang on. We love you!
